Clubs For Those With Dementia & Their Carers

There are many organisations and clubs meeting in Swansea for those with dementia and their families.

Forget Me Not Clubs

The Forget Me Not Dementia Day Clubs were set up in October 2010 to help people with all types of dementia and its effects and their carers. They aim to give the person with dementia and their carer an opportunity for friendship, continued access to social life and to have enjoyment in life.

Musical Memories Choir

The Musical Memories Choir happens every Friday at Linden Christian Centre in West Cross. The choir is for people affected by Dementia in any way. It’s a great place to socialise and connect with others over singing and a tasty lunch.

Sporting Memories

For over 10 years Sporting Memories have been using the power of remembering and talking about sport – along with physical exercise – to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness. They are dedicated to bringing together older adults through the love of sport. There are Sporting Memories Clubs around Swansea and they provide social and physical activities. Everyone finds fun, friendship and increased well-being.
