Telephone Support
Safe Haven Carer


Telephone Hwb Support

Location : Dementia Hwb, Quadrant Centre, Swansea
28 hours a week, Monday to Sunday, to be job shared
£10/hr + pension if opt in subject to hrs/ 25 days holidays (pro rata)

Responsibilities

As Telephone Hwb Support responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

  • Daily monitoring of and returning voice messages to the Dementia Hwb and answering any inbound calls, collating information about these calls
  • Production of monthly statistics of Telephone Hwb callers and their queries
  • Keep Trustees and external stakeholders informed with monthly reporting as required
  • You will support the daily operations of the Hwb including opening and closing of the Hwb, ensuring that the general look and feel of the Hwb/Information and literature is maintained
  • Be the lead for the Hwb on ensuring Referrals to other organisations are followed-up
  • Carry out any other activities as reasonably asked of you by the Project Director

Requirements & Skills

  • Interim knowledge of MS office
  • Experienced to be able to multi-task
  • Confident talking on the telephone and initiating telephone calls
  • Excellent administration skills with a proven ability to be able to produce accurate and timely data reports
  • Demonstrable skills of working as part of a team that has achieved success
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Demonstrable skills in working with and assisting people (essential) with a shown interest in the community and in particular Dementia (desirable)

Safe Haven Carer

Must have experience of dementia
28 hours a week, Monday to Sunday, to be job shared
£12.50/hr + pension if opt in subject to hrs/ 25 days holiday (pro rata)

Responsibilities

As Safe Haven Carer responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

  • Daily provision of engagement with visitors to the Hwb who have/appear to have dementia whilst their unpaid carer seeks information and/or support
  • Production of monthly statistics of Safe Haven visitors and their engagement
  • Keep Trustees and external stakeholders informed with monthly reporting as required
  • You will support the daily operations of the Hwb including opening and closing of the Hwb, ensuring that the general look and feel of the Hwb/Information and literature is maintained
  • You will be responsible for sourcing all activities needed during your working day and asking for resources to be purchased as necessary
  • Carry out any other activities as reasonably asked of you by the Project Director

Requirement And Skills

  • Demonstrable skills of working as part of a team that has achieved success
  • Excellent people and communication skills
