The Swansea Carers Centre runs many different projects and their Mind, Body & Spirit project aims to improve the health & wellbeing of carers aged 18+ living in Swansea.

The scheme has a wide variety of sessions available, including body activities which improve carers’ physical health, such as Tai Chi, Walking and Yoga. Mind activities teach practical skills to enable carers to cope better includes courses such as Mindfulness & 3 Principles, while Spirit activities are group sessions that encourage creativity & self-discovery such as Singing, Drumming and Arts & Crafts.

One of these courses is the popular 3 Principles of Innate Health by Alex Waters. This 6-week course, which is free for unpaid/family carers will be starting in March. Every Thursday 2, 9, 16 & 23 March, with a break for Easter, then resuming 20 & 27 April 2023 from 10.30 – 12.30pm

The simple & profound '3 Principles of Innate Health' points us back to our own 'built-in' mental health & resilience, & helps us experience more peace of mind, clarity, ease, connection & creativity. This 6-week course will 'nourish' you both as an individual & as a carer – it's a chance to settle down & 'see' something different about your thoughts, feelings, & circumstances. We all have the ability to access mental wellbeing, exactly as we are, right now, because mental wellbeing is our natural state!

This will be a face-to-face course (if you would prefer to wait for a future online session, please let Ali know).
