3. Dementia Hwb
Dementia Hwb lease is until 30th June whilst we wait for Regional Integration Funding Bid
559 visitors by 30th April, average 7 visitors per day staying for around 30 minutes
We are looking to use the back room for private bookable sessions – any organisation who would like to use the room to arrange to meet clients please get in touch
We can complete Blue Badge applications online and LFTs for vulnerable people can be collected here
Looking into carrying out CANTAB Mobile memory test for depression and cognitive impairment within the Hwb in response to visitor requests
4. Dementia Awareness Week 2022 (16 – 22 May)
i. City Centre stand rebooked for Tuesday 17th May – Jude, Elaine (am only) , Helen Hunter
ii. SCVS: new monthly social group starting in Swansea.com Stadium on Wed 18th May 10am-12pm
iii. Ex-players with dementia and families can attend Swans matches for free
iv. Mid and west fire service are launching our message in the bottle and Herbert protocol role out across the service as part of the standard home safety check when we recognise cognitive issues – this is hoping to be launched dementia awareness week
v. Memory Tree will be in the Hwb
vi. Swansea Carers Centre have a week of activities for all Carers not just dementia related
vii. Swansea BID have information sessions for staff
5. Dementia and Mental Health Older Persons Steering Group (DOPMHS)
The next meeting is to go through the 14 applications for Regional Integration Funding
