Thank you to everyone who came to the Dementia Hwb Swansea 1st birthday party! There was an amazing turn out which showed the support behind the service being provided to people and families affected by Dementia. Thank you to Jay from Mid And West Wales Fire And Rescue Service for speaking on behalf of Trustees and welcome the Lord Mayor Mike Day.
And thank you for all the supporters who have got the Hwb to where it is today. Extra special thanks goes to all the visitors who have come in since opening. You are the reason the Dementia Hwb was opened, and will continue to be a place where anyone can come in, to chat about any concerns they have around dementia.
Thanks to the consistent support we have received throughout the year, and the ongoing impact we are having on our visitors, we will be hosting a small gathering on Saturday 28th January 2-4pm to celebrate. We will supply food and refreshments, with an opportunity to reflect on the year we have had.
If you would like to show your support, the event will be hosted at the Dementia Hwb, found in Swansea Quadrant Shopping Centre, SA1 3QW. Near the bus station.
Hannah Davies – Project Lead of Dementia Hwb
These celebrations are open to all that have benefited from our services across Swansea and beyond. We are also. proud that Councillor Mike Day, Swansea’s Lord Mayor, will say a few words to mark the occasion at 3pm.
As we continue into 2023, I’m positive that we will help even more people by offering crucial advice and guidance to friends, family, and carers of those living with dementia.
