The new Dementia Hwb Bridgend opened its doors on Thursday 1st December. A partnership between Mental Health Matters Wales and Dementia Friendly Swansea, the Hwb will provide a one stop place with local information to help:

*anyone worried about their memory;

*anyone worried about someone else’s memory;

*anyone with a diagnosis of dementia; and

*anyone who supports someone living with dementia.

Activities will also run throughout the week for people living with dementia and their carers.

Michaela Moore, director at Mental Health Matters, says, “we are looking forward to working in partnership to create a safe place for anyone in Bridgend worried about their own or someone else’s memory.”

Thomas Williams, Project Officer for the information signposting, says, “this is a great opportunity to bring together information about all the services on offer in Bridgend and surrounding areas and we can capitalise on the wealth of knowledge from local partners and Mental Health Matters Wales”.

The Hwb will be open 7 days a week from 10 AM.
