This is what’s on at the Dementia Hwb Swansea this week 20th March – 26th March. The Hwb is open 11am – 3pm 7 days a week for information finding and support, drop in for a chat about questions you may have on memory issues or dementia.
Telephone Hwb
If you are unable to get to the Hwb in Swansea, but still need support, call the Hwb between 11-3 and you will be able to access information. Call 01792 304519 to access. If you need to call outside of these hours, there is an answerphone, please leave a message and someone will call you back as soon as the Hwb is open again.
Safe Haven
We now have Safe Haven staff available during opening hours. If you need to come into the Hwb with your cared for, our Safe Haven staff can provide companionship for them while you can access information and support.

Blue Badges & Herbert Protocol
As well as being able to help with Blue Badge applications, the Hwb can help with completing Herbert Protocol, for use in the event of a loved one with dementia going missing.
Safe Space & LFTs
The Hwb has also become a Swansea BID recognised ‘Safe Space’ (badge is displayed in the window), meaning that passers by will know that they can come to the Hwb for safety and support.
Also working in collaboration with Social Services the Hwb has become a distribution centre for LFT (Covid-19 Lateral Flow Tests) kits for unpaid carers or personal assistants for clinically vulnerable people.
